Tami’s daily yoga practice keeps her deeply connected to her yoga mat and to her own mindfulness. She finds inspiration in both her personal journey and the experiences she shares with her students. Tami leads slow-flow yoga classes, encouraging her students to hold each pose for longer periods. This approach allows students to become more mindful and aware in each posture, fostering a deeper connection to their practice. She believes that holding poses is an opportunity for reflection and self-awareness. As a hands-on teacher, Tami offers personalized guidance to help each individual achieve their best version of each pose. Her background as a Reiki teacher allows her to support students energetically as well as physically. Tami finds inspiration when she sees her students’ smiles, a sign that they have reached a personal milestone. For her, witnessing students realize their own progress is the most rewarding aspect of teaching yoga. Classes take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Private 12-Step Recovery classes are also held each week.

Bob has a passion for yoga and sharing it with others. Bob loves working with new students and people who have never experienced yoga before. He has the patience to explain what you should be doing on your mat, where you should be feeling the pose, and how the pose benefits you. Using the Chinese meridians in his practice, Bob helps us to understand why our bodies feel the way they do while practicing yoga. Bob is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher as well as a great meditation teacher as he has a 'Metta Meditation' in the world known magazine, "Meditation Magazine, the Love Issue, December 2020, and another issue, The Peace Issue, June 2024." Bob teaches Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. The classroom fills up fast! Bob has many followers and many, many yogis who love to practice each Monday and Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. Bob also teaches the 12-Step Recovery Program to the men in private classes held at the studio each week.

Bob and Tami started the Vanderburgh County Work-Release Yoga Program as a SEVA Project as part of the 200-hour yoga training in July of 2016. Bob earned his Prison Yoga Project certification for yoga instructors in Tampa Bay, FL, back in 2017 and Bob bonded immediately with James Fox, founder of Prison Yoga Project out in San Diego, CA. Rob Schware has been instrumental in helping our yoga program grow with a donation of 15 yoga mats in 2019. Then again in 2022, we requested 20 more yoga mats for our private classes for the in-patient groups of men and women from our tri-state that come to yoga to destress and find ways to cope with life in stressful situations. These two men have had a hand in helping Bob and Tami grow the yoga program for the Vanderburgh County Jail Work-Release Program. Tami took her teacher training in St. Louis, MO, with Bill Brown, also a certified Prison Yoga Program yoga teacher who was taught by James Fox out in San Quentin Prison, CA.

What yoga has done for me (Tami) has taught me that I can still learn so much about this population of young and old that suffer through addiction of some type of drug or alcohol, it is a constant battle for them. It is my hope that I can teach them tools on how to use them to help with the cycle of addiction and coping from relapse. For some, it's a lifelong battle, falling into relapse over and over. Using a proven method will help me to help others and help our community. We believe in rehabilitation instead of re-incarceration!!! We want to help our community to overcome their addiction and help them not to relapse. Help us by donating to our program.
April 14 - 16th, 2023, Tami took a weekend long Zoom training with Nikki Myers, of Indianapolis, IN. It was intense but very informative as Nikki has a program that works for the population who are trying to win the battle of addiction, whether it be drugs or alcohol, co-dependency and/or other addictive behaviors. MORE TRAINING, Tami and Courtney took a personal training from Nikki Myers in September 2025 to further their education and provide more tools in their toolbox.
