OUR MISSION
Empowering our community towards lives of joy, peace, and purpose through affordable, accessible yoga
Yoga has been proven to help the physical body with increased flexibility, increased muscle strength, and tone improved respiration, energy and vitality while maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance and protection from injury. Aside from the physical benefits, one of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. Stress can reveal itself in many ways, including back or neck pain, sleeping problems, headaches, drug abuse, and an inability to concentrate. Yoga’s incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person’s mental well-being. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration.
At YinYangYoga4You, we believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice. It is a way of life that promotes mindfulness, self-awareness, and inner peace. Our goal is to help our students cultivate these qualities through the practice of yoga.
Monday and Wednesday classes at 6 p.m. with Bob - Bob will lead you in a true Yin Yoga practice influenced with traditional Chinese medicine. All the asanas (yoga poses) are on the floor so we can relax and open up. We typically hold poses 2-5 minutes. It is quite challenging and is the perfect compliment to your Yang lifestyle and practice. Benefits you may experience can be increased range of motion and flexibility, less stress and anxiety, better sleep and increased immunity!
Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning classes at 10 a.m. and Saturdays at 8: a.m. are led by Tami. She practices Vinyasa Yoga, a challenging, strengthening, sweaty, and invigorating practice. We also practice a slower-paced flow of asanas/poses that build heat, which helps to detoxify the body, increase bone density, improve cardiovascular health, and boost metabolism. The continual focus on breathing while flowing through the poses boosts respiratory health, calms the mind, and increases focus and concentration.
